Overview

Enhancing tactical mobility through precision tyre pressure control

The Mavtech Tyre Pressure Control System (CTIS) automatically adjusts tyre pressures for optimal performance in any condition. In the high-stakes environment of the defence industry, maintaining operational readiness is crucial. By actively monitoring and adjusting tyre pressures, our systems ensure enhanced mobility and safety, reduced tyre wear, and improved fuel efficiency.

how can this benefit defence vehicles?

Achieve unmatched vehicle mobility across any terrain and with any load.

Benefits

Increased Fuel Efficiency.

Optimised tyre pressures reduce fuel consumption.

Increased Mobility.

Enhanced tyre performance across diverse terrains and load sizes.

Increased Tyre Life.

Reduce the frequency and cost of tyre replacements.

Improved Stability, Comfort and Safety.

Improved handling and ride quality for all passengers.

Reduced Driveline Wear.

Ensuring even weight distribution and minimise rolling resistance.

Tyre Pressure Control Options

Dynamic Full Auto System.

Mavtech’s Tyre Pressure Control System (CTIS) allows users to easily set tyre pressures while their vehicles are in motion. This provides seamless control and optimising performance based on the terrain and load.

Dynamic Semi Auto System.

Tyre pressure settings may be manually adjusted and displayed via a Gauge or Display Interface. Depending on whether axels are prepared for CTIS, this system may be used on dynamic or static applications.

Static Manual System.

The Static Manual Tyre Pressure Control System (TPC-S) is a system which is designed and developed to regulate tyre pressure manually. Tyre pressures can only be set when the vehicle is stationary.

Variations and Options.

Control Console Options

Our system offers adjustable terrain (Road, Off-Road, Sand, Emergency) and load (Full, ¾, ½, Empty) selections. It includes overspeed monitoring, blackout mode, and puncture detection with individual tyre alerts.

Features include high-frequency tyre check cycles, over-speed alarms, day/night display modes, individual tyre fault indication, and communication error alerts which complete this advanced system.

Software updates can be implemented remotely by means of virtual support facilities.

Wheel Valve Options.

Our multiple wheel valve configurations allow fitment to unprepared steel or aluminium rims. These wheel valves isolate individual tyres in an emergency situation, thus enabling wheel removal without deflation. A further option is our rotary wheel valve which is available for the use on any unprepared axle.

Pneumatic Control Units.

Our pneumatic distribution units, compatible with hardwire or CAN-Bus (SAJ 1939), include 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and 10x10 configurations.

These units are fitted with military-grade electrical connectors and are fitted with pneumatic connectors of the customer's choice. Individual tyre pressures are monitored and controlled, with air brake prioritised for safety reasons.

The Pneumatic Control Units are designed to meet IP68 standards.
